Ongoing Battle Between Army And Terrorists At Borders

consecutive infiltration bids at the borders

The Army has yet again foiled the infiltration bid of the terrorists at the borders.

On Sunday morning, along the Line Of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, the army has gunned down a militant.

“An infiltration bid has been foiled along the LoC in Kasturi Naar in Baramulla,” Srinagar based defense spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia said.

He said one militant has been killed in the gunfight. The operation is in progress, he said. The identity of the militant was still unknown.

This takes place after the terrorists’ previous attempt to infiltrate into the borders on Saturday.

In a separate incident on Saturday, a soldier was killed in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. Police said an Army team was on routine patrol when the explosion occurred near the Gulab Post.

Earlier this month, security forces killed four terrorists in an encounter in Baramulla following information about the presence of militants in the area. The security forces then launched a search operation in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla district and gunned down the terrorists in the area.
