Kochi: The billionaire and Padma Shri award winner M A Yusuf Ali assessed the aftermath of the calamity from a helicopter and donated 18 crore Rs to Chief Ministers Distress Relief Fund.

He said the sight of Kerala currently is extremely saddening and painful. He says he is praying hard to let the God save everyone and exhorted everyone to pray as well.
Help has been pouring in from all sides for Kerala as It tries to go back into the state it used to be. As the water receded, a lot of people have returned to their homes from shelter camps.
