The Chief Minister of Mizoram Shri Lal Thanhawla expressed his solidarity with the people of Kerala and informed that the Mizoram Government is making a contribution of Rs. 2 crores towards disaster relief efforts.
The Chief Minister also informed that all 34 MLA’s of the Indian National Congress in the Mizoram Legislative Assembly have decided to contribute Rs. 1.00 lakh each, totaling to Rs. 34 lakhs, in the hope that it may alleviate a small portion of the immense hardships currently faced by the people of Kerala.

Earlier, Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan and Lal Thanhawla had sent condolence messages to the government of Kerala for immense sufferings of the people of the state due to the unprecedented flood.
