Justice Ranjan Gogoi swears in front of President Ram Nath Kovind as the 46th Chief Justice of India TODAY.
He is the 1st CJI from North-Eastern India. He succeeded Justice Dipak Misra who completed his 13-year tenure on the 1st of October.
