The union government has decided to allot Rs 3048 crore as an additional financial aid for Kerala. The decision was taken by a committee headed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The central government had earlier sanctioned Rs 600 crore as financial aid.
The additional amount was sanctioned for the development of basic infrastructure facilities and development of roads. The state has demanded a total of 5700 crores.
