Prominent BJP leaders had quit party. Utpal Kanti Deb and Anupam Dey, prominent leader of BJP in West Bengal had quit BJP and joined the ruling Trinamul Congress (TMC) on Monday.

They joined TMC at the TMC office in the presence of District TMC President Partha Pratim Roy.
