In the forex market the domestic currency the Indian rupee has surged against the US dollar.
At the interbank forex market, the domestic unit opened at 73.81 against the US dollar, then gained ground and touched 73.79 against the US dollar. On Tuesday, the Indian rupee settled at 73.86 against the US dollar. The UAE dirham is at 20.08 against the Indian rupee.
The dollar index, which measures the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six currencies, rose 0.04% to 93.92.
