Do you know what the 2 little sisters did to reach California? Watch the video

Utah: It was indeed a shocking incident. Two young girls from Utah, aged 9 and 4, stole their parents’ car so they could drive to California and go to the beach.

According to the authorities, the sisters had planned to hit the beach and ‘swim with the oceans’. Although they had managed to take the car out onto the streets, they couldn’t quite complete their road trip. They sideswiped a car and then went on to hit with a semi-trick. Fortunately, nobody was injured during the incident. It was reported that both the girls escaped without injuries as they were wearing seatbelts.

The incident happened on Wednesday and the sisters had sneaked out of their basement after stealing the keys to their parents’ Chevy Malibu. According to a FOX13 report, the pair managed to travel seven miles from their home in West Jordan north to West Valley before one of them veered into traffic and crashed into a semi-truck.

As per the report, Chevy had first sideswiped a pickup truck whose driver started following the car thinking the driver was impaired. “He discovered the driver of the other vehicle was not impaired but was in fact a 9-year-old female driving with her 4-year-old sister,” said West Valley City Police Lt. Bill Merritt.

On the official handle of WVCA police, the video was shared, which shows the officers checking on the sisters after their car had collided with the truck:

According to a detective from West Jordan Police, the sisters had a plan to go to California and they had woken up at 3 in the morning to steal the car. “The parents were horrified and very shocked to find their kids were gone,” said Detective Scott List.

A similar incident was reported in Utah last year, where, a 5-year-old boy stole his parents’ car and drove it for nearly 3 kilometers after his mother denied buying him a Lamborghini. A Utah Highway Patrol officer, who pulled over the car, said he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw a kid sitting in the driver’s seat. The officer, at first, thought the kid was impaired. But the confusion was cleared when the 5-year-old explained that his parents were at work and his older sibling was babysitting him. The kid reportedly had plans of driving to California, which is a good 12-hour-drive from Utah.
