Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, said that Rahul Shewale had been recognised as the leader of the Shiv Sena in the Lower House of Parliament by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Twelve of the Shiv Sena’s 19 Lok Sabha members wrote to Speaker Om Birla asking him to appoint Rahul Shewale as their leader and to keep Bhavana Gawali in the position of chief whip.
