Due to the repression of widespread protests in the Islamic Republic, Germany’s government has suspended state measures aimed at encouraging commerce with Iran, the economy ministry announced on Friday.
According to the ministry, the suspension will affect export credits and investment guarantees, as well as Germany’s manager training and trade fair programmes in Iran.
In 2021, German-Iranian commerce was worth 1.76 billion euros ($1.87 billion).
