EICMA Motor Show 2023: Honda unveils Honda CB1000 Hornet, CB500 Hornet, CBR600RR, NX500

Milan: Japanese automobile brand, Honda unveiled including four new motorcycles, for the European market at the EICMA Motor Show 2023 in Milan, Italy. The new models include the Honda CB1000 Hornet, Honda CB500 Hornet, Honda CBR600RR and Honda NX500.

Honda CB1000 Hornet: The new CB1000 Hornet will be powered by a retuned version of the in-line 4-cylinder powerplant from the 2017YM CBR1000RR Fireblade, which delivers peak power of over 110kW and more than 100Nm of torque. Wrapping the engine is an all-new steel twin-spar frame. The flagship naked model gets dual LED projector headlights, the Hornet-signature fuel tank and a 5-inch TFT colour display, among others.

 Honda CB500 Hornet:  The Hornet family will have a new third member in Honda’s 24YM line-up, the CB500 Hornet. Its 471cc engine produces 35kW and 43Nm. The CB500 Hornet’s fairing incorporates headlight side ducts that channel air to the upper fuel tank area. There is a new LED headlight, 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks, Showa rear shock, dual front discs and a new 5-inch TFT screen.

Honda CBR600RR:  The CBR600RR  has a 4-cylinder engine delivering 89kW and 63Nm. It is based on a twin-spar aluminium frame with an aluminium swingarm, 41mm Showa big piston USD front forks and Unit Pro-Link Showa rear shock. The motorcycle’s new comprehensive electronics package includes throttle-by-wire control, 5 riding modes, cornering ABS, 9-level Honda selectable torque control, wheelie control, rear lift control and emergency stop signals.

Honda NX500: The new NX500 has Showa 41mm separate function fork big piston (SFF-BP) upside down forks. There is a new 5-inch TFT screen, Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and Honda selectable torque control.

Among other 2024YM Honda motorcycles at EICMA 2023 include the CBR500R, CB650R, CBR650R, CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, CRF1100L Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports.
