India records 594 new cases of Covid-19

India reported 594 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of active cases to 2,669, up from 2,311 the previous day, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. The country’s overall COVID-19 tally now stands at 4.50 crore (4,50,06,572). The death toll has reached 5,33,327, with six more fatalities reported, including three from Kerala, two from Karnataka, and one from Punjab.

The total number of people who have recovered from the virus has risen to 4,44,70,576. The national recovery rate is at 98.81%, and the case fatality rate stands at 1.19%, according to the health ministry’s website. The vaccination effort in the country has seen the administration of 220.67 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. This update reflects the ongoing efforts to monitor and manage the COVID-19 situation in India, with vaccination playing a crucial role in controlling the spread of the virus and mitigating its impact on public health.
