Dense fog forces diversion of 5 flights at Delhi airport

On Tuesday morning, the Delhi airport faced disruptions with a total of 5 flights being diverted and nearly 30 flights experiencing delays due to dense fog. Flights were redirected to Jaipur between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM, with IndiGo and SpiceJet flights among those affected. According to information on the Delhi airport website, approximately 30 flights encountered delays during the morning. In response to the fog conditions, Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) issued an alert around 7:30 AM, notifying that while landing and takeoffs were ongoing, flights not compliant with CAT III standards might be impacted. Passengers were advised to contact their respective airlines for updated flight information, and any inconvenience caused was expressed to be deeply regretted.

The disruptions at the Delhi airport due to dense fog led to the diversion of several flights to Jaipur and caused delays affecting approximately 30 flights. DIAL issued a fog alert, emphasizing that the airport was operational for landing and takeoffs, but non-CAT III compliant flights might experience disturbances.
