Mosul’s renovation: Iraq Ambassador appeals to India for help

Days after Iraq’s second-largest city Mosul was liberated from the rule of global terrorist group ISIS, its Foreign Ambassador to India Fakhri H Al-Issa may seek help from India to rebuild.

Al-Issa said the reconstruction price could be as steep as USD100 billion, and a 60-70 per cent of the city has been ruined.

“My Foreign Minister coming next week, sure they will talk about the type of assistance they need for reconstruction,” he said.

“India could play a major part in reconstruction in Iraq, not only Mosul but all liberated areas occupied & destroyed by Daesh,” he added.

Not only India, Iraq is also waiting for other countries to come and assist it in rebuilding the beautiful city, Al-Issa confirmed.
