Lashkar terrorist Abu Dujana killed in encounter in Pulwama

Abu Dujana, Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) top commander in Jammu and Kashmir, and one another terrorist have been killed following a fierce early morning encounter in Hakripora village of Pulwama district in South Kashmir.

According to reports, two to three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, including Dujana and Arif, were trapped inside a house after security forces cordoned it off following intelligence inputs. A fierce gun battle broke out between the trapped militants and security forces.

Abu Dujana carried Rs 10 lakh reward on his head. Abu Dujana had managed to escape from the security cordon in Pulwama in May. Three Lashkar terrorists including Dujana had managed to flee as stone pelters prevented security forces from the action. This was the fifth time that Lashkar commander Dujana managed to give a slip to the security forces in Kashmir.

Hailing from Pakistan, Dujana infiltrated in Jammu and Kashmir from PoK in 2010 and since then he is not only operating in different parts of Kashmir but has also managed to establish strong local modules in South Kashmir.

Dujana made his first dramatic appearance at a funeral of a local Lashkar militant in 2014 in Kakpora area of Pulwama, and also attended the funeral of Hizbul Commander Burhan Wani in Tral area of South Kashmir last year in July. Since then security forces had been looking for the Lashkar commander.
