Emirates Red Crescent to provide relief for displaced Rohingyas

After the uncontrolled violence at Myanmar, caused may a Muslims to flee the country, the UAE leaders have offered urgent assistance to the displaced Rohingyas VIA the Emirates Red Crescent.  This was as per the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC).

The assistance given by the ERC is part of its efforts to help displaced Rohingyas overcome their current circumstances and provide them with humanitarian aid, based on the UAE’s humanitarian concern towards underprivileged people around the world, and its care for the lives of people affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters. The ERC provides assistance to people around the world without discrimination. The recent directive comes as reports of crimes against humanity has been reported by various agencies. It is unclear how the relief operations will work since the country has denied relief operations from various countries.
