Security forces launched an operation in Litter area of Pulwama this morning following a tip off about the presence of the militants in the area. Having moved forward to search the area, the militants opened fire on security forces that was retaliated by the law enforcement personnel, a police official said.
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, including top commander Waseem Shah, were killed today in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.The other slain militant has been identified as Nisar Ahmed Mir.
