Amit shah in Kerala today to address last leg of `Janaraksha yatra’

BJP chief Amit Shah will join the last day of `Janaraksha yatra’ today in Trivandrum. The two-week long campaign led by BJP state chief Kummanom Rajasekharan portraits the political violence by the CPM under the LDF government in the state. The Yatra will begin at 3 pm from Paruthippara village and Shah will address a public meeting at 4 pm in Putharikandam Ground.

The campaign was flagged-off by Shah on October 3 from Kannur. A host of BJP leaders, Union ministers and BJP chief ministers, including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, have participated in the yatra at different stages.

BJP alleged that instances of political violence increased whenever the LDF came to power in Kerala, ruled alternatively by Congress-led UDF and also alleged that the state has become a fertile ground for ‘jihadis’. The ruling CPM has rejected the charges and said that the BJP was attempting to create tension in the state by unleashing violence.
