College student brainwashed and joined LeT by terrorist friend killed in encounter

While a family weeping for their loss of only son his friends are celebrating his move to join Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist group. The incident took place in Anantnag near Jammu and Kashmir.
 
A 20-year-old Majid Khan now radicalized and changed his name to Abu Ishmayeel. The fellow was a student the Government Boy’s Degree College. He was very bright in studies and moreover a top leader of an NGO doing humanitarian works and a promising future football player. Recently, giving pain to his family he has joined LeT, to take up arms in the name of a free Kashmir.
 
Plenty of his friends have celebrated the move and hailed him as a hero of sorts on Facebook while his tearful family is hoping that he will return.
 
Local belief is that his decision was cemented after his close friend, Yawar Nisaar, joined the Hizbul Mujahideen in July but was killed in an encounter with security forces in early August this year. They also allege that he was brainwashed and radicalized.
