New Delhi: In a spine- chilling incident, a nursery student in Hyderabad was beaten up allegedly on Thursday by his teacher. After the incident came to light the boy’s father complained about the teacher who beaten the child mercilessly.
The child has severe marks on his body and was taken for medical examination.
A photograph showed the child with red bruises on his back.
Hyderabad police said the teacher, from a school in Tarnaka area, has been charged for voluntarily causing hurt and also under the Juvenile Justice Act.
Earlier this month, a 16-year-old girl allegedly tried to commit suicide after being scolded by a teacher at a government residential school in Palamakula, about 105 km from Hyderabad.
In September, a video showed an 11-year-old Hyderabad girl describing how she was sent to the boys’ loo by teachers as punishment for not turning up in school uniform.
