Security measures tighten at hotels and lodges

The United States of America and the Republic of India are proud to announce the eighth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India on 28-30 November 2017. This year’s Summit will highlight the theme Women First, Prosperity for All, and will focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth globally.  Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump will headline the United States delegation to the Summit.

Ahead of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) to be hosted in the city, Cyberabad police have intensified safety precautions in and around the areas where the summit is to be held. Police on Tuesday conducted surprise raids at hotels and lodges across the Commissionerate and verified the details of its inmates.

A senior police official from Cyberabad said that though there is no specific alert about the GES, the checks are a part of the safety measures.

“This is only to ensure that all the areas and the establishments within the Cyberabad area are safe,” he said.

The raids which started during the wee hours of Tuesday by checking hotels and lodges continued during the day at different locations along with vehicle checking.

“The records of the hotels and also the surveillance system was checked and instructions on safety measures were given to the owners of the establishments,” another official said.
