Not going to do female-oriented film just for the sake of it, says Jacqueline

Jacqueline Fernandez spoke about her choice of films. She is currently riding high on the success of ‘Judwaa 2’.

Jacqueline revealed how she loves commercial films and said “I am a lover of cinema, and, in fact, would watch a lot of world cinema, foreign films as well as small niche movies. But still, I would be really excited about big commercial cinema, as it would make me laugh or cry.”

She has given her nod for the official Hindi remake of 2016 American mystery drama ‘The Girl On The Train’. The Hollywood film was based on the 2015 bestseller of the same name by Paula Hawkins. She will be stepping into Emily Blunt‘s shoes in the remake. Director Ribhu Dasgupta, who previously helmed the Amitabh Bachchan-Nawazuddin Siddique-Vidya Balan starrer ‘Te3N’ will direct the upcoming film.

“I am not going to do a female-oriented film just for the sake of it. I really loved the book but I must say that I didn’t like the film as much” the actress stated.

Talking more about the movie, Jacqueline said, “I am very excited about the film because the character is flawed and has so many different dimensions. So I am really looking forward to playing her.”
