Rupees 39 lakhs is the annual income of this just 20-year-old students

Arshaly Jose and Aksa Elizabeth Sunny fourth-year engineering students of the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, got the Rs 39 lakh-a-year package through campus placements.

The young girls will be designated as members of technical staff under Adobe’s “She Coding” program. Alappuzha-based Aksa is the daughter of Pottetharayil Sunny Joseph and Sheeja Annie Iype and Arshaly, daughter of C.L.Joseph and Lissy Joseph, Chakkalamattom, is from Chalakkudy.

The girls had to cross quite a few hurdles of which five were the toughest. The first to cross was a written test followed by a four-step interview. The online technical exam tested their expertise in coding. The interview was truly challenging and the puzzles they were put through could not be classified as tough or easy.

While Arshaly who’ll soon be graduating in electronics and communication had already won for herself a plum post in Robert Bosch, Aksa was offered a job in General Electric.

Both the aspiring professionals have taken all the interviews in their stride. They are least perturbed by the so-called slump in IT-Electronics related jobs and don’t concur with the view that it’s all over for IT and electronics. Quite a lot of electronics-based students have found placements in IT firms.
