Film producer’s BMW cleaned of valuables worth lakhs

Leaving valuables unattended calls for unwanted attention, no matter where you are. That is what happened to this man and his valuables.

A 30-year-old film producer, Kunal Sharma was robbed off of cash and valuables worth over lakhs after robbers broke the window glass of his BMW car. The robbers decamped with the cash and valuables from his car in Central’s Delhi’s Mandir Marg area on Tuesday night. No arrests have been made, so far.

According to Sharma, he had come to Gol market along with his friend Mritunjay in his BMW car when the incident took place.”I parked it in front of Bhagat Singh Place and went to meet somebody. After a while when I returned, I saw that the window glass behind the driver’s seat was broken and my bags and cash were missing as well,” revealed Sharma in his statement.

He told the police that two of his Louis Vuitton bags (brown and black) were missing from the car. The black bag had identity cards, ATM cards, membership cards of various five-star hotels, shoes, keys, cheque book, driving license, i-phone and Rs 1.5 lakhs also that was stolen. The brown bag contained some clothes. Mritunjay then informed the police who reached the location and then registered a complaint.

“We have registered a case of theft at Mandir Marg Police Station. Efforts are being made to nab the accused. Further investigations are underway,” said Brij Kishore Singh, DCP, New Delhi.
