Anti Corruption Bureau officials registered FIR against BJP leader

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered an FIR against BJP leader R Ashok over irregularities in the land allotment under the Bagar Hukum scheme. The alleged irregularities had taken place between 1998 and 2006 when Ashok headed the committee.

ACB officials on Tuesday arrested the then Tahashildar and revenue inspectors in this connection. The arrested are, the then Tahashildar of Bengaluru south taluk Ramachandraiah; revenue inspector of Hemmigepura circle Gavi Gowda; revenue inspector Nelaguli circle Chowda Reddy and village accountant of Agara village Shashidhar.

The accused were produced before the magistrate and are in police custody. The FIR, registered on Monday, names other government officials. KPCC member M A Saleem had filed a complaint with the ACB. The complainant had also submitted a report by the Bengaluru Urban district administration over the irregularities in the allotment of lands.
