A couple of weeks later police told the family that Wani had joined Hizbul.

His father, who is a school teacher pleaded on his facebook wall pleading for his son to return.

“My dear son, since you left us, my body has started to betray me. I am screaming of the pain which you have given and still believe that you will come back home… I don’t want to die but am not left with any choice. I am sorry. You will have a lot to learn but I will not be there to teach you, to scold you, to help you,” he wrote.

Since the officials were encouraging the militants to give up terrorism and come back to normal life, the family had hope that he will be back.

But now everything is over with his death.
