Police have reported that a senior Karachi minister Mirza Hazar Khan Bijarani and his wife had been found dead in their residence in the port city of Karachi.
The news has been confirmed by Bijrani’s family and officials of the Pakistan Peoples Party. They have also confirmed that both have suffered bullet wounds.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in-charge, Raja Umer Khitab said the bodies were recovered from the study room adjacent to the bedroom.

Bijarani and his wife Fariha Razzaq, who was a journalist, were found dead in their bedroom, the door to which was locked.The investigation team has not yet identified the reason for their murder.
Family members, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and senior government and party officials reached the house after the incident.
