Disney all set for new venture

Disney. Who doesn’t know this world-famous production company? It has been a great part of our childhood.  

And it still is.

The much-loved Disney productions is all set to launch its very own Disney live streaming service without restricted category content

The new Over-the-top (OTT) service of Disney is set to launch by the end of 2019.

The OTT platform will be initially launched in the U.S. and will later release overseas.

The R-rated content will be released separately on Hulu, another U.S.-based video-on-demand service.

According to the Deadline, around five original movies and five TV series will be launched on the Disney online channel in the first year.

The production cost has gone up to $35 million for a 10-episode TV series.

Some of the movies including Lady and the Tramp, The Paper Magician, Stargirl, and Togo have been slated for the release on the Disney online channel under the direction of Julia Hart and Ericson Core.

Among the television series High School Musical, Monsters Inc series, Marvel live-action based series, and Star Wars will be streamed.

The subscription cost of the Disney content has not been specified yet.
