A year before there has been news that Shah Rukh Khan had been approached by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with not one but w scripts on two different subjects.He had said, “There are two scripts that he’s (Bhansali) offered me. One is a period film and the other isn’t. I don’t know which one we’re doing right now. But these are the only two I have spoken to him about.”
But now it seems that they won’t team up anytime soon as according to the sources SRK has politely turned down Bansali’s offer to do a movie as nothing positive came out of their meeting over the last few months.

At present Shah Rukh Khan is busy with Anand L Ri’s ‘zero’ which is slated to release on Christmas weekend 2018. There are also reports that SRK is having discussions with Sidharth Roy Kapoor for Rakesh Sharma biopic titled, Salute.
There are also reports that one of the roles that Sanjay Leela Bhansali offered to SRK was that of Alauddin Khilji in ‘Padmaavat’ which later went on to Ranveer Singh.
but since he already made a commitment to Anand L Rai he didn’t want to split time between both the movies thus rejected the role.
