Smugglers try to hoodwink the police and smuggle in illegal goods and drugs into a nation through secret trade lines.
But the smugglers were nabbed by the police in their secret operations.
As many as 20 Asian men have been nabbed by the Abu Dhabi Police for selling heroin and crystal drugs. Around 20kg of narcotics were seized in a series of operations.
The police announced that they have also identified the kingpin of the racket, who lives abroad and manages a network of dealers from the same nationality.

Colonel Taher Ghareeb Al Dhaheri, director of the Directorate of Drug Control, said that the accused – who moved about in different groups – were arrested following secret operations carried out by the members of Drug Control during the last three months.
Al Dhaheri underlined that the police will continue to organize campaigns and programmes to raise the awareness of the people to cooperate with the police to prevent smuggling and selling of drugs.

He added the awareness has enhanced the sense of social responsibility among citizens.
