Under the leadership of Priya Bharathan, CPM local leaders convened a secret meeting in her home where a fake list was prepared in which her son’s name was also included. The clandestine meeting happened on the day when Vasudevan’s house was attacked. Sreejith was arrested for this case.

Sreejith’s wife Akhila seconded her mother in law’s statement adding that A.V.George, Aluva rural SP should also be brought under the investigation. The family of Sreejith who was brutally beaten up and killed by the Rural Tiger Force and the local police has come strongly against the ruling front, local CPM leaders and the Varappuzha Police.
