Aditi Kamal, the woman behind Patanjali’s Kimbho app

Kimbho app now trends on the web as an Indian rival to the Facebook-owned Whatsapp messaging app. Though the driving forces behind this indigenous messaging app are Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and his Patanjali conglomerate run by Acharya Balakrishna, Aditi Kamal is the one who designed and developed this dream project for them.

On Wednesday, Patanjali launched Kimbho app which was being promoted by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev as the ‘swadeshi’ messaging platform. Patanjali Kimbho app is packed with the features such as private chat, group chat, video call, audio share, videos share, photos share, stickers, GIF images, location and many other. But what new in this to challenge an app that boasts of a robust worldwide user-base of around 2 billion? For this, we have to use this guys, no other option.

The reports in ‘The Print’ said that Aditi kamal was a team leader at Google Hang Outs and also worked at Yahoo Mail as well as in Oracle. It had been the dream of this 32-year-old to develop an Indian chatting platform which she full filled through the development of Kimbho app.

A University of Southern California alumnus and an MSc Computer Science degree holder, Aditi Kamal approached Patanjali with her idea of developing a swadeshi messaging app for a chatting platform. For this idea, she said that Patanjali gave quick approval and only one condition was put forward by the company-it should have advanced encryption standards which would make data leaks impossible.

Patanjali Kimbho app offers updates from Acharya Balkrishna and Baba Ramdev plus it has the ‘ghost messages’ feature that will enable time-sensitive chats to disappear after reading. Beta version of the Kimbho App was released by Patanjali on Wednesday evening which witnessed thousands of app downloads within hours of its debut in Google Play.
Due to extreme traffic that their servers could not handle, as clarified by Patanjali, Kimbho App was pulled down from Google Play. The Company said that they were in a process of upgrading their servers and would be back shortly. The comeback time has not been announced by the company yet but some reports predict that to be on June 21, on the auspicious occasion of World Yoga Day.
