RSS President Mohan Bhagwat has spoken about the controversial visit of Pranab Mukherjee to the birth place of RSS Founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
He answered the criticisms levelled against the former president in his speech, while Pranab Mukherjee was on the dais. He will be the next speaker.
Here are the excerpts from Mohan Bhagwat’s speech.
” We thank Pranab Mukherjee for gracing this event with his presence.Those who want to accept our invite, do it. Arguments against and in favour of the visit is meaningless. Attending RSS event doesn’t change who Pranab Mukherjee is. Inviting prominent people is RSS norm. Despite our differences we are all sons of mother India.Our ancestors are the same. We must work together for India’s progress. Issues of nation are more important than ideology. Knowledge should be the force that unites India.”
” Hedgewar spoke of uniting Hindu Community. Hinduism is the driving force to unite society. RSS exists due to a democratic mindset, we set an example with our conduct. Power sans ethics is dangerous. The organisation grew facing many struggles. RSS workers’ bond with Sanghs last through their lifetime.” Bhagwat also invited all the like-minded people to join RSS.
