Japan v Poland: Jan Bednarek Gets Poland Through

Japan have won each of their two encounters against Poland winning 5-0 in February and 2-0 in March 2002. But tonight, it was the day of Poland.

It was on 59th minute that Poland took the lead. Kurzawa curled an inviting free-kick and it found Bednarek with room inside the area and he tucked it home with ease. It was his first ever international goal in only his sixth cap.

Japan tried as many as 5 shots in the second half but didn’t have any of them on target. In the end, Poland registered a comfortable win.
