SFI-SDPI clash in Alappuzha; One SFI worker hacked

After the cold-blooded murder of an SFI activist named Abhimanyu at Maharajas College, Cochin protests have been called by the SFI activists across Kerala. Such a protest march in Charumood in Alappuzha district witnessed a spate of violence when there ensued a clash between the SFI and the SDPI workers.SFI Area Secretary Noujas was hacked and 3 others got injured in the clash.

The clash happened when the protesting SFI activists destroyed SDPI flag post on the way. A Police Team is camping there to avoid any other untoward incidents.

Abhimanyu, a second-year degree student in the Maharajas College in Cochin, was brutally attacked and killed by a gang of 20 Campus Front workers when they caught hold of him when he was returning after sticking party poster. He was caught from behind, locking his hands and then stabbed to the chest. Three persons from the gang were apprehended by the natives and the students then handed over to the police.
