Ruchi Recipe: Easy and Tasty Prawns Masala

Prawns Masala


  • Prawns- 10
  • Shallot- 8
  • Green Chilli- 2
  • Curry leaves- 1 stem
  • Pepper powder- ½ tea-spoon
  • Turmeric powder- ½ tea-spoon
  • Coconut oil- ½ cup
  • Fenugreek powder- ¼ tea-spoon
  • Red chill powder- 1 ½ table-spoon
  • Salt as required


In an earthen pot heat coconut oil and crackle mustard. Add sliced shallot, ginger and curry leaves and sauté.  Add red Chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, fenugreek powder and salt and sauté on low flame.

Add prawns and reduce flame. When the prawns let out water, increase the flame. Prawns will be cooked in this water and coconut oil. No extra water is added. Serve hot after sprinkling pepper powder and salt.
