Bareilly leader Promises Reward of Rs 11786 For Stoning and Shaving Heads of Triple Talaq Victims

Moin Siddique Noori, an NGO head in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, stirred a controversy by allegedly announcing a reward to anybody who stones and shaves the heads of the two triple-talaq victims, Nida Khan and Farhat Naqvi.

“Our group will award Rs 11,786 to anyone who stones Nida Khan and Farhat Naqvi, shaves their heads and scares them away from India,” declared All India Faizan-e-Madina Council head Moin Siddique Noori.

Incidentally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet both Khan and Naqvi during a rally at Shahjahanpur on Saturday. The two were formally invited by Rajesh Kumar Mishra, the BJP MLA from Bareilly.

Nida Khan hit the headlines when she took to the court after being divorced by her husband through instant Triple-Talaq. She was also forced to marry her father-in-law and brother-in-law, apart from consummating the marriage with them under the Islamic practice of ‘Nikah Halala’. However, the court declared her divorce invalid and had ordered a probe into the allegations of domestic violence.
Naqvi is also pursuing a case against her in-laws after being separated from her husband.
