Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta is the World’s Most Expensive Car

Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta from the house of Italian hypercar manufacturer, made its official debut at 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed making it the most expensive car ever sold at 15 million Euros. The supercar is not only just super costly but also limited in numbers, just three units ever made, and none is available. The model showcased is currently owned by Pagani’s founder Horacio Pagani whereas the remaining two models that are yet to be made have already been pre-sold.

The supercar comes with a striking body design with literal no roof. The body of the Pagani’s Zonda HP Barchetta hypercar is crafted from carbon fibre-titanium composite materials that contribute to car’s overall kerb weight of 1250 kgs. Inside the cabin, the supercar continues to impress with blue and cream upholstery, tartan accents and wooden inserts on the steering wheel.

Under the hood, the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta hypercar carries a massive 7.3-litre Mercedes-AMG M120 V12 motor. The engine is capable of making 789bhp of maximum power with a peak torque of about 1100Nm. The unit comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox with self-locking differential and a rear wheel drivetrain. 

For decelerating this hypercar, the Italian car manufacturer has included 380mm ventilated discs with six-piston front calipers while the rear gets four-piston calipers. The suspension duties on the Zonda HP Barchetta supercar are carried out by adjustable Ohlins shocks with anti-roll bar and double wishbone suspension, coil-spring upper rocker arm. The overall appeal of the hypercar is accentuated by 20-inch front and 21-inch rear aluminium wheels.
