A quick fix meal for breakfast, snack or dinner

Oatmeal Dosa recipe is a super simple and quick preparation of this savory dosa. The quick cooking oats are combined along with whole wheat flour and spiced with green chilies and ginger and flavored with a bountiful of coriander leaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Instant Oats (Oatmeal)
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sooji (Semolina/ Rava)
  • 1/2 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 Green Chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin (Jeera) powder
  • 1 tablespoon Whole Black Peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander Leaves, chopped
  • Cooking oil, for cooking
  • Salt, to taste

How to make

  • To begin making the Oatmeal Dosa Recipe, combine all the ingredients – Oats, Whole Wheat Flour, Sooji/Rava, Curd, Water, Green Chillies, cumin powder, peppercorns and coriander leaves.in a large bowl.
  • Allow it to rest covered for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, stir well and make sure that you have a spreading consistency for the oat dosa batter.
  • Heat a skillet on medium heat; pour a ladleful of oatmeal batter on the griddle and spread the batter inside out to form a circular dosa.
  • Drizzle some oil in and around the edges of the oatmeal dosa and allow it to cook in medium heat until the top of the dosa looks steamed.
  • Flip and turn the Oatmeal Dosa to the other side to cook the dosa. Once done, flip again, fold and serve.
