Irish Lady Liga’s Death in Kerala: Kerala Government Objects to CBI Investigation

The death of an Irish lady Liga in Kovalam, Kerala had caused quite an uproar in the state. The inefficiency and ignorance of Kerala police in the matter was quite evident and widely criticised, as the relatives of Liga tried to search her with public support.

It was Andrews, a friend of Liga who filed a petition seeking CBI investigation and the Kerala Government has expressed it stands on the same issue. The government said CBI investigation is not needed as the ongoing investigation by Kerala Police is satisfactory and that final report will be filed soon. The government expressed hope that the final report will be filed soon.
