P. Sasi, Once Expelled CPI(M) Due to Allegations of Molestation, Back in the Party

P. Sasi, who was once caught in allegations of Molestation and therefore expelled from CPI(M) has made a comeback into the party. Sasi has been given party membership in the Thalassery Court Branch. The decision to take him back was reported in the Kannur district Committee by the state committee a month before.

It was back in July 2011 that Sasi was expelled from the party as serious allegations of sexual abuse were raised against him. He was then a member of the state committee and also Secretary of Kannur District Committee. T.P Nandakumar had filed a case against him and Sasi was acquitted from charges last year. Sasi then expressed his wish to join back the party. The state committee discussed this issue and it was decided that Sasi will be inducted back into the party.

Sasi is a practicing lawyer and since his expulsion from the party, he has been actively doing his job as an advocate. Being close to CPI(M), he used to regularly get cases related to the party
