Police have found the man who brought the knife which was used to stab Abhimanyu. It was Saneesh, a resident of Palluruthy who brought the knife that took the life of Abhimanyu, the SFI leader from Maharajas College.

Saneesh too had tried to slash the knife at Abhimanyu. According to his statement, the other two culprits who took part directly in the murder also had a knife with them. Police is still trying to confirm from which knife the fatal injury actually occurred.
