A year-old leopard was found dead on the railway tracks near Chelima in the Nandyal forest division on Friday. She was hit by a train, divisional forest officer Sivasankar Reddy said.
The post-mortem confirmed the same, he said. It is suspected that the leopard had strayed from the nearby forests in search for food.
