Punjab Sewerage board officer shoots his office clerk for not clearing his bills in time

A Punjab sub-divisional officer (SDO) of the sewerage board shot live rounds at an establishment division clerk at his Sangrur office reportedly for not clearing his TA bills in time.

The SDO reportedly had a verbal escalation with the clerk, who allegedly had failed to clear his TA bills. Police reached the spot and started an investigation. DSP Satpal Sharma said the injured clerk had been admitted to the local civil hospital.
