India reports only 11 fresh COVID-19 Cases

India reported 11 new COVID-19 infections in a single day, as disclosed by the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, while the tally of active cases reached 177. This update was provided in the data released at 8 am on a Thursday.

The total number of fatalities attributed to the virus stood at 5,33,295, as indicated in the same dataset. The cumulative count of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 4.50 crore (4,50,01,419). Encouragingly, the number of individuals who have successfully recovered from the disease has risen to 4,44,67,947, resulting in a national recovery rate of 98.81 percent, as reported on the health ministry’s official website.

The case fatality rate, which measures the proportion of fatalities among confirmed cases, is recorded at 1.19 percent, reflecting a relatively low mortality rate. Additionally, the ministry’s website reports that an impressive 220.67 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the country, reflecting significant progress in the vaccination campaign.

This data underscores India’s ongoing efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, with a noteworthy focus on vaccination and a relatively high recovery rate.
