The mother, Babita, was in another room at the time of the incident. Locals rushed Muskan to the hospital, where she was declared brought dead. The police have initiated a manhunt to apprehend the absconding Aditya, who is in his early twenties.

According to local accounts, Aditya had expressed opposition to Muskan’s relationship with a youth from another community within the same village.
