Dance :The very breath of her life

A girl who started living her passion from the very tender age of three, when she was introduced to the world of dance.

That is Aparna Satheeshan for you.

Her passion for dance…
Aparna who hails from Thiruvananthapuram started learning Bharatanatyam from the Regatta school of dance under Girija Teacher at the age of three, that was just the beginning. She then went on to master herself in many dance forms such as Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam, Keralanadanam, at the age of three, that was just the beginning, she then went on to master herself in many dance forms such as Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam, Keralanadanam, Kathakali, and OttamYhullal. under various gurus such as R.S Lakshmi, Padmabushan Dhananjayans, Smt. Vyjayanthi Kashi, Nelliyodu Vasudevan Namboodiri. and much more.

A regular presence in Youth Festivals she has won many accolades.

Aparna, now 27, being in the dance field for more than 20 years have many feathers in her hat, is also a choreographer and teacher who runs Artistic Director of Samyoga School of Dance.

An Achiever…
She has done many performances both in India and US, like Soorya Festival(India), Guruvayoor Temple Festival, Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, featured performer at The Balaji temple, Chicago, Samarpana at Vyllopilli Samskruthi Bhavan, Light and Sound Show, Global Rhythms and much more are some of her major performances. She has won several awards and recognition at this young age and is renowned for her creative dance productions, choreographies and music sense. In 2017, she has been selected as the state ambassador in Kuchipudi for the international organization, IndianRaga.

Aparna had a brief stint with anchoring, where worked as an anchor for Asianet for about 5 years.

Hobbies…
Being an engineer, Aparna enjoys doing technical stuff. She also loves to go for hiking.
 

Philosophy of life…
A firm believer in living her life to the fullest, she is making use of her talent to help others in need.
