Robert Vadra responds on alleged land scam

Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, sent out a strong message through the Facebook post to the Rajasthan Government vis-à-vis the alleged CBI probe into the land scam.

In the post, he said the Rajasthan government can “harass and hound” him, but won’t find his involvement in the land scam. “Please hound, prosecute and harass as much as you want, such lies will never undermine the truth,” said Vadra.

Another attempt of malicious persecution, exposed. First, Rajasthan police filed a FIR on 26 August 2014. In 3 years, they filed the charge sheets, summoned documents, as also company officials, yet found not an iota of evidence,” said Vadra.
“Neither the FIR nor the charge sheets accuse the companies associated with me in any manner whatsoever,” he added.

The development comes a day after the state government had asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct a probe in the alleged land scam in Bikaner. Earlier, there were reports that one of Vadra’s firms was involved in the land scam.

Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand had alleged yesterday that Vadra’s company was indeed a third party in the illegal purchase of 275 bigha of land in 2010.
