Onam memories of Mallu Singh: Unni Mukundan shares his reminiscence of onam

Unni Mukundan who came and conquered Malayalis with his title role in the film Mallu Singh shares his memories of Onam that he had during his childhood.

He says that being brought up in Gujarat during childhood, as his parents were employed there, he always wanted to come to Kerala, his native to celebrate Onam.

He says that though being in Gujarat he never missed the fun of the festival. Being active in the Malayali Samajam at there place, he and his family used to get involved in their celebration of Onam.

Unni recalled that it was he and his gang of boys who used to collect money for the celebration.

Also talking about onasadya, he says that it was the young boys like him who were assigned to serve dishes to people during the celebration.

Of all the dishes served on Onasadyas that his favorite dishes are parippukari and a special curry made by his mother made of potato and coconut milk.

And like everyone, he also loves the payasam, served for sadya, used to devour it during sadya.

Unni Mukundan this time around wishes to have his parents to be with him in Kerala for celebrating Onam, and he hopes that they will come from Gujarat to be with him.
