Indian army carries out surgical strikes in Indo-Myanmar border

The Indian Army was involved in a firefight with the Naga insurgent camps along the Myanmar border. The incident reportedly took place around 4:45 am when a team of Indian Para Commandos inflicted damage on NSCN-K insurgents close to Langkhu village near the Indo-Myanmar border. The news was confirmed by the Eastern Command through its official Twitter handle where it stated that there were no casualties from the Indian side.

“Reports of casualties to #IndianArmy personnel factually incorrect. Firefight occurred along Indo-Myanmar border at 0445 hrs today @adgpi,” the Eastern Command said in a tweet. It further said that heavy casualties were inflicted on the Naga insurgents. “Heavy casualties reportedly inflicted on NSCN(K) cadre. No casualties suffered by Indian Security Forces,” another tweet by Northern Command read.
